Defining features include; a huge 10m perfectly circular pond, multiple evergreen and deciduous hedges that help to subdivide space, control views, and give backdrops and shelter, a small woodland of ancient oak trees, named trees and shrubs for autumn colour, sloping borders of herbaceous perennials, Annika and Robert performing a number of gardening tasks in their own textbook manner such as laying new hedge, creating leaf mould compost, dividing herbaceous perennials, increasing borders by removing turf.
