Synopsis
The garden is less than 1/4 acre in size, divided into compartments by corokia hedges, each containing a different kind of planting - herbaceous border, 'dry' garden and an area devoted entirely to hellebores. A small number of wild collected plants from the Chatham Island are tucked away beside the house. On each side there is a water garden and on the street side a small vegetable garden. Olearia gardenii and Brachyglotis huntii are notable endangered NZ trees present while an outstanding exotic is Cornus alternifolia 'Variegata.'
