A Modern Cotswold Garden

A cottage garden that cleverly blends the house and its modern extension to the neighbouring Cotswold countryside using a perennial meadow as the final link. This garden won the Fresh Designer Landscapes and Garden award at the Society of Garden Designers.

Synopsis
Designed by Emily Crowley-Wroe, the garden is divided into three zones that gradually move from contemporary formality near the house to a colourful perennial meadow with mown paths bordering the countryside. It's been developed from a near-empty plot with little beyond mature trees being kept. A carefully controlled colour theme and planting make it modern yet still fitting the country setting.
