Synopsis
An inspiring Spring garden full of blossom and colourful tulips, created by owner Claire Benbrook in this seven acre garden surrounding a Georgian House in Essex.

Claire was no gardener when she moved here around 10 years ago, but after a design course at Writtle College threw herself into re-designing the run-down garden With overgrown borders. On the site of an old tennis court, a Box edged parterre is filled with cool green and whites tulips, and one of her first projects, inspired by Vita Sackville-West she set about making a white garden, using Tulipa 'White Triumphator' in Spring. A curving front border zings with hot red and orange coloured tulips, contrasted by softer ice cream shades opposite. Every year around 1000 tulip bulbs are planted creating this magical feast of colour.
