    Meet The Team

Iben Lund Gladman

Iben Lund Gladman
Founder & Director

As well as the day-to-day management of the company and GAP team, Iben edits all our photographer's image submissions. She also has an eye for style and is very hands-on with shoot planning for our step-by-step features and practical gardening series.

Iben studied as a Landscape Architect in Copenhagen (Cand Hort Arch) before coming to Britain and working for another specialist photo library in London where she met Trevor Jennis McDermott and GAP Photos was started in 2005.

Iben ensures that she negotiates the best possible deals for GAP's contributors but also wants our clients to receive the highest quality images from our specialist collection in this ever changing market.

She has a very large garden and in her spare time she enjoys landscaping and redesigning this with her husband David, taking long walks with dog Mollie in the Essex countryside, of course making sure there is nice pub pit-stop along the way.

Random Fact: "I like being organised and keeping things simple - my two children were born on the same day, 3 years apart - same room, same hospital, same midwife, same husband!"

Trevor Jennis McDermott
Founder & Director

Much of Trevor's time is now spent with the general management of GAP Photos but he also continues to develop and maintain the bespoke website created for GAP clients, photographers and staff. He continues to review and spot-check quality control to maintain GAP's high standards. With everything his role now entails, it is rare that Trevor gets to do the picture research himself but he still really enjoys it when he gets the chance.

Trevor's passion for plants and gardening started a very young age, beginning with a small plot in the corner of his parent's garden. At age 16 he left school and studied amenity horticulture at Writtle College.

Trevor met Iben Lund Gladman when working at another specialist picture library and together they started GAP Photos on a shoestring budget in 2005. The collection quickly grew to become a well-respected brand supplying magazines, books, newspapers and commercial/advertising clients worldwide.

In his spare time, Trevor still enjoys tending his own garden when time allows. He has also developed a real passion for flying and now has a private pilot license and shares the use of an an aircraft with 5 other pilots.

Random Fact: "I circumnavigated the UK coastline with 2 other pilots, in a vintage Cessna - just for the hell of it."
