Synopsis
Gravetye Manor, West Sussex in autumn, with fabulous planting in the 'cottage style' by Tom Coward, head gardener. Gravetye was the home of William Robinson, the famous and hugely influential gardener who, alongside Gertrude Jekyll, revolutionised the Victorian gardening world. The planting is informal, cottage style planting with plants allowed to self seed, and billow across paths. The features of the garden, the paths, pergola, summerhouse are that are rustic and simple, and at this time of year, Dahlias and autumn colour takes centre stage
