Synopsis
It was in the unlikely context of a friend's wedding that Jo Wright had a brainwave that would revolutionise her business. 'I was admiring the bouquets and flower arrangements, and it dawned upon me that all the flowers could easily have been grown at a Social Enterprise project I was running,' she explains. Based on growing plants as a therapy to help some very deserving people, Jo's project successfully combined her two great loves — people and plants — but it lacked one vital ingredient.
'For years I'd provided a great working experience for adults with learning difficulties and mental health support needs, but there was no commercial element.'
