Step 3 - Water your bedding plants well before planting. Remove them from their pots, and position two or three in each of the wellies. Fill in around the plants with more compost mixed with some slow-release fertilizer granules and some water retaining gel. Make sure that you have a gap between the top of the compost and the top of the boots of at least 2.5cm (1in) to allow space for watering.
