Synopsis
Judging by the deftness with which he coaxes lengths of sweet chestnut and willow boards into the curving form of a gardening basket that's changed little for centuries. 'It's a design that's stood the test of time, and continues to be handcrafted from native materials which are harvested locally,' points out Charlie from his workshop in Holmes Hill, Sussex.
