Synopsis
They love the isolation, considering its a small price to pay for their panoramic views of Cranham and Painswick in Gloucestershire. It was this sight that won the hearts of a couple who, up until 20 years ago, had spent their entire lives in cities. A novice gardener when she arrived, Celia wanted to be able to enjoy her outdoor space whatever the season, filling borders and under planting deciduous trees with bulbs. Over the years she has planted some 30,000 snowdrops, along with Iris reticulata, Cyclamen coum and golden winter aconites. The garden is a haven to wildlife and Celia gardens organically. Formerly a head teacher, her passion for the garden is unbound, these days she can be found working hard in her garden or running as an extreme runner.
