Synopsis
'The most important thing was that it should complement the house,' she says. Owning a home with such great period charm, it's not surprising that Fran envisaged something traditional in style, understated in tone, but with unexpected touches. 'I wanted to recreate the classical walled garden look, with a formal framework of low hedges, straight paths, lawn and box-edged borders filled with roses and perennials.'
