Synopsis
A series of images showing the planting of tiger nut plug plants in early May to the harvest of the tubers in late October. Tiger Nuts aren’t nuts at all, but tubers from the cyperus sculentus plant, or chufa sedge, nut grass or yellow nut sedge. The tubers, sometimes called earth almonds are slightly sweet with a nutty flavour and can be harvested around the first autumn frosts that kill the leaves.
