Stuart Cottage

Certain gardens have a distinctive ‘feel’ and, the longer established, the more potent their sense of identity. In John and Gayle Leader's, the over-riding feeling is of a deep-seated contentment that has its roots far back in time.

Synopsis
'I'm aware of the people who have lived here over the centuries, and feel sure they've been happy because the cottage has such a friendly feel,' says Gayle from the welcoming garden that they have lovingly created around their 450-year-old cottage. 'Ours is the garden of a cottage, as opposed to a cottage garden which is a jumble of plants and looks wonderful, but is not orderly enough for my liking,' she adds.
