Synopsis
A sequence of shots showing how to make paper pots from recycled newspaper. No other equipment is needed and the process is so simple that a child can make the pots in minutes. The pots are in fact open ended boxes and when made from a single sheet of a tabloid newspaper, will form a small pot perfect for potting on seedlings or planting a variety of seeds.

As the paper fibre absorbs water, they can be stood in trays of water to keep the compost most. The paper is actually strong enough to last several weeks before it starts to rot, but by that time the seedlings will be ready for planting into a bigger pot or directly into the garden.

You can buy devices to roll newspaper into pots, but the box method doesn't require anything apart from dextrous fingers!
