Synopsis
A Victorian town back garden in Stretford, 3 miles South of Manchester, designed and created by Maureen Sawyer with the help of her partner Duncan.

This 1/4 acre plot is divided into several intimate gardens connected by one long path. From the courtyard there follows a Mediterranean garden packed with luscious exotic plants inn terracotta pots and a raised water feature. Here the emphasis is on texture and form with a splash of colour. A kitchen garden, with an oregano hedge, is filled with interesting fruit and vegetables, all organically grown. From here the path leads to mixed borders with unusual herbaceous perennials and a pond and finally at the end of the garden is tucked away a shaded moss garden with ferns and hostas.
