Through tried and tested design techniques John Davies, award winning garden designer, has transformed what was an overgrown small urban garden on a steep bank into a tranquil garden with fulsome planting providing year-round interest and space in which to relax and entertain.
By turning conventional garden design layouts on their head and locating the main patio at the back of the garden your eye is drawn through the garden to the raised platform eating area. With a modern fish pond that extends across the width of the garden and the faux screen painted a deep purple this garden contains key design elements that are both dramatic and effective.
This feature shows the garden in early September and shows the garden at its very best when illuminated at dusk looking at its most inviting and atmospheric.
