Synopsis
Richard has lived in the Thatched Cottage in the village of Lode for over twenty years. The back garden (60m x 30m or 197ft x 98ft) has a wonderful collection of snowdrops, many rare and unusual. Richard built up the famous collection of snowdrops at Anglesey Abbey after finding a rare snowdrop in the woods - Galanthus lagodechinaus. Richard was also responsible for developing the now famous 'Winter Walk' at Anglesey Abbey and his own garden with its interesting and colourful winter stems reflects some of the planting from the 'Winter Walk'.
