Synopsis
Lianne Pot has been running her nursery, specialising in grasses since 2000 and has been the holder of the Dutch National Collection of ornamental grasses since 2005. Since then Lianne has fallen in love with prairie plants, inspired by visits to the gardens; Hermanshof and Berggarten, Hanover, in Germany - both prairie gardens.

In 2008 Lianne visited North America to see the plants in their native setting and was so impressed that she created a 3,500 square metre prairie garden at her own nursery. She has planted approximately 12,000 plants to show the variety available. The garden is at its best through summer to autumn. Seed heads and grasses still look stunning in the winter. Lianne also works as a garden designer and has created many private gardens with the focus on low-maintenance using ornamental grasses and prairie plants, that are now her speciality.
