The bold naturalistic planting makes this garden popular with both garden enthusiasts and wildlife alike. Bursting with life and colour in the summer, providing food for butterflies and insects in the winter the Millennial garden provides invaluable nesting materials for birds and homes for insects during the cold months. These images illustrate beautifully a frosty cold morning at Pensthorpe where the perennials and grasses including various Molinia, Panicum, Astilbe and other plants are transformed into a frozen winter wonderland.
