Synopsis
Perched on the highest point of Oliveto, a medieval village in the Sabine Hills north-east of Rome; Arabella Lennox-Boyd has designed a magnificent garden, with three secret, shady areas for relaxation. The swimming pool has stunning views, with undulating hills stretching into the distance. The beautiful private grounds extend over three hectares. First there is the traditional formal garden near the house as one would expect in this region but there is a vegetable garden, and a more natural olive grove and woodland that leads down to the swimming pool and pool house. Stunning outdoor living areas dot the landscape and at such an elevation and with so many trees it is easy to relax and cool down in the height of the Italian summer. The house, like the gardens has been, and continues to be lovingly tended to.
