Synopsis
Managed by Greenyard Flowers, formerly known as Winchester Growers, this is an important collection as well as being a source of new varieties, including dark leaved white flowered 'Twyning's After Eight', bred by resident hybridiser Mark Twyning. Dahlias have made a spectacular comeback in the garden after spending years in the horticultural wilderness. Their range of colours, forms and sizes ranges from massive, shaggy showstoppers to elegant, single flowers loved by invertebrates, meaning there's a dahlia for every situation, including as pot grown plants. They mix especially well with grasses and other late summer herbaceous perennials, producing flowers until the first frosts. A feast of colour, shape and texture to brighten any garden, large or small.
