Synopsis
With the help of designer Charles Cheshire, Anne Luetcke has created a wonderful garden with many internal and external vistas that add drama and depth to the space. With distinct and contrasting areas, Morton Hall has a vibrant kitchen garden featuring a hot, fiery planting scheme while the West Garden is Mediterranean-inspired with mounds of lavender, thyme and rosemary. The South Garden places the emphasis on a traditional English scheme with a pastel palette using cottage garden favourites as well as Roses and Clematis. Nearby, the rockery has steep stone steps leading to a serene and peaceful woodland dell with cool planting in blues and whites. The large pool in the Japanese-inspired Stroll Garden has been designed with cleverly-placed stepping stones and reflects the trees and tea-house for added impact.
