Synopsis
For centuries the birch brooms have been used for cleaning houses, ovens, fireplaces, yards and streets. The knowledge of how to make them was passed on from generation to generation and so came to us.

Mr. Leon is an old school gardener and has accumulated years of useful tips for how to make and use practical home-made tools. This broom is used with traditional, mainly of natural materials, while the newer approaches involve the use of steel wire and nails for fixing the holders of the broom. Mr Leon uses fresh birch branches. The process is simple and with some practice a broom can be made in a very short time.
