Synopsis
This third of an acre, south facing town garden is just overflowing with plants. For Tez, the owner, its all about the foliage, the lush look of bananas, paulownia, colocasia and tree ferns. In late summer colour arrives with dahlias, canna lilies, gingers, begonias and pendulous brugmansia. The garden has no lawn but Tez uses gabions and logs to define and raise beds. He uses a mixture of paving and bark chippings paths to lead you round. When you come to the end of your journey around this inspiring tropical haven there's a perfect shady gazebo to rest in.
