Synopsis
The garden is situated in the quiet village of Pembury near Tunbridge Wells in Kent, where Julia Jarman created a charming garden with large array of plants in imaginative settings. She moved here in 2004 and started the garden in spring 2005 with great enthusiasm and courage. The garden design is entirely hers and the final piece of hard landscaping was completed in September 2011. The many different parts of the garden are separated by hedges and connected with meandering paths full of surprises at every corner.

There's a vegetable garden with raised beds and orchard, small greenhouse with nursery, beautiful pond area, woody walk, meadow and interesting and colourful combinations of planting in herbaceous borders with an emphasis on scent, structure and romance. She is a plantaholic and so looks forwards to the thousands of spring bulbs emerging for the first colour after long winter period. The garden then continues to bloom with perennials, shrubs, trees and ornamental grasses right through to autumn.
