Ivy House, a fine red sandstone house in a small Cumbria village, is backed by approximately two acres of sloping fell-side garden with meandering paths leading to a series of ‘rooms’.

Synopsis
These rooms consist of: pond, fern garden, gravel garden with assorted grasses, vegetable and herb garden. Copse with meadow leading down to beck. Trees, shrubs, ferns, bamboos and herbaceous perennials planted with emphasis on variety of texture and colour interspersed with decorative metalwork, arrangements of pots and containers, unusual ceramics and some interesting specimens including Calycanthus ‘Aphrodite’. A pretty country garden with lots of good design ideas.
