It takes but a few steps through Ian and Armi Maddison’s front door to be riveted by what lies behind the traditional Victorian brick façade. ‘When you first enter the house, there is a ‘wow’ factor from the panoramic view of the garden.

Synopsis
It’s contemporary, secluded and totally unexpected,’ explains Armi. With floor-to-ceiling windows opening on three sides, the garden is a natural extension to the house, a tranquil leafy outdoor space in summer and focal point in winter. ‘Neither the house nor garden would work so well without the other,’ she adds.
