Synopsis
High Hall in south west Suffolk is a tall brick Tudor hunting lodge on a high piece of ground overlooking rolling countryside. It is home to Maryanne Nicolls, a sculptor of large sinous abstracts, many of which are displayed in the garden.

On a large scale, there do not seem to be any boundaries which creates a wonderfully open feeling. The beauty of the place is really in the way the sunlight is caught in its relaxed informal meadow planting, although the formal borders around the large lawn are very stately and well-ordered. Cow parsley under old apple trees is cut through by a long stone path leading to the front door, edged by box hummocks. Elsewhere there are nine acres of meadow and oak parkland.
