Synopsis
Paul Richards has been fascinated by plants since his childhood. He can often be found in his glorious 5-acre field overlooking the Malvern Hills. His business 'Herbfarmacy' was established 10 years ago, it uses organic methods to farm a range of herbs and flowers. These are used in Herbfarmacy's award-winning skincare range. There is row upon row of Calendula, Verbascum and Cornflower which attracts butterflies and bees. In early spring the herbs are sown by hand using seeds gathered from the previous year's crop. Carefully tended by hand-hoeing, the seedlings grow into strong plants, and finally the flowers are harvested by a small team in the summer months. Several hundred kilos of herbs and flowers are gathered each year.
