Synopsis
The formal aspects include twin herbaceous borders, a hornbeam arbour, topiary, a knot garden, a circular spring garden and, most recently, a kitchen garden with raised beds of vegetables, fruit and cutting flowers. — here there are beds of annual wildflowers to attract bees to pollinate espaliered fruit. Establishing pathways was one of the first priorities and, running parallel to both house and field boundary, a long axis stretches the full width of the plot. This main axis starts on the southwest boundary by the kitchen garden, passing through a pleached lime walk and the herbaceous beds, before entering the gate leading into a field. It is a garden that feels completely balanced from every standpoint,
