Synopsis
Friedrich fell in love with Auriculas in the 1950's during his apprenticeship as a gardener. At that time Auriculas were out of fashion in Germany and nobody wanted them, Friedrich received a lot of Auriculas from amateur gardeners who wanted to get rid of them and from this he started his own collection. Friedrich now owns around 850 different varieties. Some people think that Auriculas are difficult to grow, but Friedrich says that this is a question of the right care and porous planting soil. Auriculas hate soil which is waterlogged or too dry. Meanwhile there is a great renaissance of Auriculas and Friedrich Moye swaps and sells them worldwide.
