Synopsis
Famous for its daffodils in spring in summer it boasts richly planted herbaceous borders in ice cream sundae colours. Spires of delphiniums and digitalis mix with achilleas, salvias, scabious and linaria. A formal white garden with clipped Phillyrea latifolia is planted with Allium nigrum, Salvia turkestanica and scented lilies and dianthus. Wider areas of the garden feature large areas of long grasses, natural ponds and views out into the surrounding landscape. Head gardener Lindsey Ellis and her team produce a spectacular display all through the year.
