Driftwood

Driftwood is located on a seafront suburban road of 1930's bungalows, and is an astonishing sight to passers by and visitors alike, whose first glimpse is the seaside themed front garden.

Synopsis
Completely exposed to the elements, but with a protective Elaeagnus x ebbingei hedge, plants in the gravel front garden, include Cineraria, Santolina, Stipa tenuissima and Tamarisk. It is Decorated with driftwood sculptures,Groynes, lobster pots, fishing floats and other fishing ephemera. The back garden is a complete contrast - A multi-layered tapestry of dense colourful planting, with over 400 varieties of shrubs perennials and Annuals, which give the garden colour throughout the Spring, Summer and Autumn, fight for space with quirky found objects and rusty sculptures. Geoff opens the garden regularly and has raised over an incredible 100k for The NGS and local charities and has been nominated for the BBC community Heroes Award for his sterling efforts!
