Synopsis
Geoffrey Ingham has selected hardy evergreen plants that are able to withstand a harsh East Anglian winter, yet create the effect of an exotic lush jungle during the summer months. The spiky form of plants such as Trachycarpus wagernianus look architectural and stunning while box shapes of all sizes and shapes, bamboo and interesting shrubs provide form and structure. The many layered and textural effect of these carefully selected evergreen plants provides all year round interest and demonstrates just how effective and beautiful the foliage of plants can look when planted in this considered and dramatic way. This feature captures this magically green tropical feeling garden, reminiscent of summer Narnia, created by Geoffrey Ingham.
