Synopsis
Dina Deferme is a well-known gardener and landscape architect, she has designed many gardens and has her own gorgeous garden in a rural setting not far away from Hasselt, where she lives with her husband Tony Pirrote. The garden is approximately 4 hectares with a romantic atmosphere and English touch. The construction of the garden dates back to 1990 when Dina started first with a natural pool and then created the rest of the garden shape around the restored farmhouse.

The many garden rooms that are separated by hedges include; the pond, shade garden, herb garden, relaxing terrace area and colorful front garden with borders planted for all year interest. Dina composed three groups of perennials; early flowers, summer flowers and late bloomers so that borders changed colour every month. She uses combinations of perennials and shrubs and cold and warm colours to create a unique atmosphere. There are many lovely sitting areas to enjoy the view of the garden and surroundings as well as paths to wander through the shade garden, colorful borders, wood and fenced meadow with horses.
