Clare Matthews wanted to create a raised circular decked area for herself and her family to relax in the sunshine and admire the surrounding countryside and incredible views in her rural Devon garden.

Synopsis
She also added a walkway leading to a second decked area, in doing so creating a split-level seating area. She added swing seats, loungers and hammocks to create the ultimate chill-out space and incorporated an existing tree, providing a relaxing and shady area for the swinging seat. The images show a step-by-step guide to how this area was created, from initial marking out right through to the stunning finished result.
