The pretty front garden a blaze of colour in autumn from acers, spiraea, berberis and asters, while the sloping and terraced back garden is a maze of grasses and late season perennials, including Stipa gigantea, rudbeckias, salvias, echinaceas, dahlias, heleniums and hardy chyrsanthemums. A charming garden with lots of good ideas including a neat garden seat that curves around the peeling trunk of an old apple tree, and a dipping pond as the centre point of a newly created vegetable garden. This feature proves that floral colour and herbaceous interest can continue in the garden well into autumn if plants are carefully chosen.
