Synopsis
This small city garden was designed by Tony Woods, Garden Club London in 2017. The owners had a lot of sculptures to incorporate into the space. Platanus acerifolia (umbrella head trees) were chosen to frame the main sculpture and provide privacy from a neighbouring property. Grey wooden fences give neutral background for borders with evergreen planting includes lots of spring and summer colour with varying textures. Mirrors add depth to the design. There are also 2 water features (including one hidden behind Equisetum hyemale) so the noise distracts from the airplane traffic because the house is under the airport flight path. Garden measures 16m x 10m garden and is west facing.
