Synopsis
An understated silver and pink border full of Alliums edges the pathway leading to this pretty plot, which opens directly to the unspoilt Kent countryside. Inspired by the potager at Barnsley House, Heather Scott decided to create something similar. Her potager enclosed with clipped hedges of Hornbeam and Beech, and crossing brick pathways, is decorative and highly productive.

She chooses varieties of veg that are both tasty and look good, while creatively planted pots abound with purple Pak Choi, Broad Beans and frilly Lollo Rosso Lettuce. Clipped trees and shrubs form the backbone of the garden, together with a simple border planted solely with white roses.
