Synopsis
Considered to be one of the best contemporary gardens in the UK, Broughton Grange garden was created by top UK Garden Designer Tom Stuart-Smith in 2002. Three terraces within a walled garden consist of great tapestries of perennials and grasses spiked with tall thin yews and topiary beech columns; a rill running through this planting which drops down to a rectangular pool, and, on the bottom level, low box parterres designed in the organic shapes of leaf veins. The whole garden is enclosed by avenues of pleached limes and beech tunnels, which offer occasional glimpses through to the countryside beyond.

The garden is open several days a year to the public, and by appontment.
