Bridge End Garden

Bridge End Garden was created in 1840 by a prominent citizen of Saffron Walden. What makes this beautiful garden so unusual is the fact that it wasn't ever attached to a house or dwelling.

Synopsis
The garden was designed to stand alone. The garden is still owned by the Fry family, but from the early part of the twentieth century it has been leased to the local borough and district councils, more recently Saffron Walden Town Council under whose custodianship it resides today.
