About GAP Gardens

Founded in 2005 by Iben Lund Gladman and Trevor Jennis McDermott, GAP Gardens quickly became highly regarded for the quality and variety of its garden photography, and is now one of the leading horticultural image libraries.

At GAP Gardens we’re lucky enough to work with more than 150 of the best garden photographers worldwide, and over the years we’ve built up an unparalleled stock of more than 1 million images. Our collection boasts the highest quality garden photography, and covers the broadest spectrum of styles – from urban roof terraces to formal country gardens, across all seasons. We’ve even been appointed the sole representative of the photographic collection from HRH The Prince of Wales’ gardens at Highgrove – quite an accolade! In addition, we’ve also got an enviable selection of gardening step-by-steps, and plant profile images, plus garden-related craft projects.

Each year we supply more than 20,000 images for use in a wide range of projects, including advertising, gardening books, and horticultural articles (for newspapers, magazines and websites).

Simply put, we sell licenses on behalf of the photographers we work with, which allows clients to use the images – fees are by negotiation and more information is available here.

Our specialist in-house picture researchers really know their alliums, so you can be assured that you’re getting exactly what you need. Wherever you are in the world, and whether you’re looking for a single image of a particular cultivar, a beautiful garden feature package, or enough photographs to illustrate an entire book, we will deliver on time and on brief.

As a member of the British Association of Picture Libraries and Agencies (BAPLA), we pride ourselves in the quality of both our images and our service.
