In a small garden, space is precious so the garden shed roof can provide an additional area for plants and animal life.

This design by David Sorrell takes the typical monoculture of sedum used on most green roofs and goes beyond. Here a few sedum and sempervivum are interspersed with other wildflower plants suited to dry soil and a thin substrate.
