Bay Tree House is a contemporary one-acre garden surrounding an attractive wooden clad house.
The owner has turned a field of poor dry soil into the well-designed garden it is today, with a naturalistic style of ornamental grasses and perennials peaking in late summer, and a Mediterranean style garden behind the house. The planting is rhythmical and loose within a tight structure. A long narrow rill, pleached lime trees, modern benches and seats add clean crisp touches. She loves a visitor’s comment on her garden as ‘immaculate and free-spirited’.
