Synopsis

As well as 'fashionable' plants like grasses and late season perennials Fiona uses those pariahs of the garden world, conifers, making visitors see them in a new and favourable light. Winter sees the garden as interesting as in summer with skeletal forms of dead grasses and herbaceous perennials catching the frost, colourful stems colours of cornus and bamboos and strong evergreen shapes.
