Robert Lomas' 1¼-acre arboretum and rhododendron garden on the site of a victorian slate mine. Seven hundred and fifty feet up on side of hill in the Peak District National Park with a bluebell wood above the house and garden. There are collections of conifers, most over 40yrs old. Species and hybrid rhododendrons and a wide variety of shrubs. A lovely Japanese inspired garden with cherry tree. The garden is fed by a stream and their are six ponds and arched wooden bridges.
